The Mainland of China : Law on Bankruptcy of Enterprises
The Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress passed the "Law on Bankruptcy of Enterprises" on 27 August 2006, which will take effect from 1 June 2007. The Law governs the application and approval for enterprises' petition for bankruptcy, handling of the debtor's assets, register for the creditor's claims, restructuring of the debtors, settlement between the debtors and creditors, liquidation upon bankruptcy, etc. A copy of the Law is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
