The Mainland of China : Administrative Measures on Representative Offices of Foreign Insurance Companies in the Mainland
The China Insurance Regulatory Commission promulgated the "Administrative Measures on Representative Offices of Foreign Insurance Companies in the Mainland" on 12 July 2006, which will take effect from 1 September 2006. The Measures set out the required conditions and the application procedures for a foreign insurance company to set up a representative office in the Mainland. A copy of the Measures is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
