The Mainland of China : Notice Concerning Attraction of Foreign Investment in the Logistics Sector
The Ministry of Commerce jointly issued a notice concerning attraction of foreign investment in the logistics sector on 20 April 2006, which took effect from 31 March 2006. Item 3 of the notice stipulates that foreign investors are allowed to set up foreign-invested logistic enterprises on an equity joint venture, contractual joint venture or wholly-owned basis in all parts of the Mainland. Furthermore, the minimum registered capital requirement specific to foreign-invested logistics enterprises has been uplifted. Yet foreign investors still have to fulfil the requirements stipulated in other relevant rules and regulations. For details, please refer to the notice at Annex (pdf format).
