Commercial Information Circular No. 546/2005

The Mainland of China : Notice Concerning Further Liberalising the Business Scope of Individually Owned Stores Set Up by Hong Kong and Macau Residents in the Mainland

According to the provisions of the "Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement", the Mainland shall further liberalise the business scope of individually owned stores set up by Hong Kong permanent residents with Chinese citizenship in the Mainland from 1 January 2006. To ensure the smooth implementation of this measure, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce has issued a "Notice Concerning Further Liberalising the Business Scope of Individually Owned Stores Set Up by Hong Kong and Macau Residents in the Mainland", a copy of which is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
