Commercial Information Circular No.534/2005

South Korea : Preliminary Finding of Anti-dumping Investigation Against Imports of Certain Ceramic Tiles from the Mainland of China

Traders were informed vide Commercial Information Circular No. 244/2005 about the initiation of anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain ceramic tiles from the Mainland of China on 7 July 2005. The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MCIE) of the Republic of Korea announced in the press release of 24 November 2005 the preliminary determination that ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China were being sold in Korea at less than fair value. MCIE had made recommendation to Ministry of Finance and Economy the imposition of provisional anti-dumping duties ranging from 7.25 % to 37.4% on imports of the said products. A copy (pdf format) of the press release issued by the Korean authority, and the English translated text are appended (pdf format) to this circular for reference.
