Dear Sirs,

The Ministry of Commerce issued Notice No. 82/2005 on 2 December 2005, announcing the preliminary finding of the anti-dumping investigation against imports of o-Dihydroxybenzene (Catechol, Pyrocatechol, C6H6O2) from the United States and Japan. The relevant tariff code of the General Administration of Customs is 2907 2910.
PRELIMINARY FINDING
- The preliminary finding revealed that dumping existed regarding the investigated products originated in the United States and Japan, with dumping margin ranged from 6% to 46.8%. With effect from 2 December 2005, importers have to provide deposit according to the margin of dumping as guarantee to the General Administration of Customs during importation of the products concerned.
- Interested parties may submit written representation and supporting evidence to the Ministry of Commerce within 20 days from the date of announcement (i.e. 2 December 2005) for their consideration.
- For details of the initiation of the subject anti-dumping investigation, please refer to our CIC No. 190/2005 dated 31 May 2005.
