The Mainland of China : Notice Concerning the Change of Supervising Authority 
on Registration of Foreign-Invested Enterprises

The State Administration for Industry and Commerce issued a notice concerning the change of supervising authority on registration of foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) on 30 June 2005, which took effect from the day of promulgation. According to the notice, the registration of FIEs of the restricted category with registered capital of less than US$ 6 million will be supervised by the authorized bureaus located at the place of the enterprises concerned. Among these companies, registration of FIEs limited by shares will be supervised by bureaus at the provincial level. A copy of the notice is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
