The Mainland of China : Supplementary Provisions to the Interim Provisions
Concerning Foreign-invested Cinemas
According to the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement,the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Culture promulgated the Supplementary Provisions to the Interim Provisions Concerning Foreign-invested Cinemas on 8 April 2005. With effect from 1 January 2005, Hong Kong services suppliers are allowed to set up equity joint ventures, contractual joint ventures or wholly owned companies to construct, renovate and operate cinemas in the Mainland. A copy of the Supplementary Provisions is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
