The Mainland of China : Anti-dumping Investigation against Imports of Polyurethane (Spandex) from Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, the United States and the Taiwan Province

The Ministry of Commerce issued Notice No. 19/2005 on 13 April 2005, announcing the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation against imports of polyurethane (spandex) from Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, the United States and the Taiwan Province. The relevant tariff codes of the General Administration of Customs are 5402 4920 and 5402 6920.

Interested parties may approach the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports and the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation of the Ministry of Commerce to participate in the defence of anti-dumping and industry injury investigation respectively within 20 days from the date of the announcement (i.e. 13 April 2005). In the applications to the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports, the interested parties should submit information about the quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland during the period 1 January 2004 - 31 December 2004. In the applications to the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation, the interested parties should submit information about their manufacturing capacity, production volume, inventory level, quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland, as well as the details of any expansion plans during the period 1 January 2001 - 31 December 2004.
