The Mainland of China : Final Ruling on Anti-dumping Investigation Against
 Imports of Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber from the United States, 
Japan and the Republic of Korea

The Ministry of Commerce issued Notice No. 96/2004 on 1 January 2005, announcing the final ruling on the anti-dumping investigation against imports of dispersion unshifted single-mode optical fiber from the United States, Japan and the Republic of Korea. The relevant tariff code of the General Administration of Customs is 9001 1000.

ANTI-DUMPING MEASURE

2. The ruling confirmed that dumping existed regarding the investigated products originated in the Unites States, Japan and the Republic of Korea, and that such dumping had caused material injury to the domestic industry. As a result, the Mainland had decided to impose anti-dumping duties, range from 7% to 46% on imports of dispersion unshifted single-mode optical fiber from the above regions. The anti-dumping measure would be in place for 5 years from 1 January 2005.
