Dear Sirs,

The Mainland of China : Preliminary Finding of Anti-dumping Investigation
Against Imports of Hydrazine Hydrate from Japan, the Republic of Korea,
the United States and France

The Ministry of Commerce issued Notice No. 38/2004 on 3 August 2004, announcing the preliminary finding of the anti-dumping investigation against imports of hydrazine hydrate from Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United States and France. The relevant tariff code of the General Administration of Customs is 2825 1010.

PRELIMINARY FINDING

  1. The preliminary finding revealed that dumping existed regarding the investigated products originated in Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United States and France, with dumping margin ranged from 28% to 184%. It was found that such dumping had caused material injury to the domestic industry and that causal link existed. With effect from 3 August 2004, importers have to provide deposit according to the margin of dumping as guarantee to the General Administration of Customs during importation of the products concerned.
  1. Interested parties may submit written representation and supporting evidence to the Ministry of Commerce within 20 days from the date of announcement (i.e. 3 August 2004) for their consideration.
  1. For details of the initiation of the subject anti-dumping investigation, please refer to our CIC No. 313/2003 dated 23 December 2003.
