Dear Sirs,
Commercial Information Circular No. 211/2003
The Mainland of China :Final Ruling on Anti-dumping Investigation Against Imports of Coated Art Paper from the Republic of Korea, Japan, the United States and Finland
The Ministry of Commerce issued Notice No. 35/2003 on 6 August 2003, announcing the final ruling on anti-dumping investigation against imports of coated art paper from the Republic of Korea, Japan, the United States and Finland. The relevant tariff listings of the General Administration of Customs are 4810 1300, 4810 1400 and 4810 1900.
ANTI-DUMPING MEASURE
-
The ruling confirmed that dumping existed regarding the investigated products originating from the Republic of Korea and Japan. It also confirmed that such dumping had caused material injury to the domestic industry. As a result, the Mainland has decided to impose anti-dumping duties, range from 4% to 71%, on imports of coated art paper from the Republic of Korea and Japan. The anti-dumping measure would be in place for 5 years from 6 August 2003.
-
As regards the coated art paper originating from the United States and Finland, the Ministry of Commerce has decided to terminate the investigation as the imports from these two countries are negligible. Hence, no anti-dumping measures will be imposed on imports of coated art paper from the United States and Finland.
- For details of the initiation of the anti-dumping investigation and the preliminary finding of the case, please refer to our CIC No. 31/02 dated 12 February 2002 and CIC No. 232/02 dated 2 December 2002 respectively.
