The Mainland of China : Copyright Law and the Implementation Rules

The 24th session of the Standing Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress adopted the amendment to the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China. The State Council announced on 2 August 2002 the Implementation Rules of the Copyright Law, which will come into force on 15 September 2002. The amended Copyright Law and the Implementation Rules guarantee equal protection to foreign and Chinese copyright holders. They are attached at Annex 1 and Annex 2 (pdf format) for reference.
