The Mainland of China : Experimental Measure on the Establishment of
Foreign Invested Logistics Enterprises

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) announced an experimental measure on the establishment of foreign invested logistics enterprises on 20 June 2002. The measure allows foreign investors to set up Chinese-foreign equity joint ventures or contractual joint ventures on logistics business in certain pilot areas, which include Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces, and the cities of Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Foreigners who apply for the setting up of these enterprises should fulfil certain requirements. Please refer to the Annex (pdf format) for details.
