Commercial Information Circular No. 310/2024

Canada : Reporting of Plastic Resins and Certain Plastic Products for 2024, 2025 and 2026

Environment and Climate Change Canada published a notice in the Canada Gazette Part I (Vol. 158, No.16) of 20 April 2024 with respect to reporting of plastic resins and certain plastic products for 2024, 2025 and 2026.

2.Pursuant to subsection 46(1) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, this notice applies to all specified plastic resins and plastic products that are manufactured in Canada, imported into Canada, or placed on the market in Canada. Among others, a person is exempt from reporting under this notice if said person manufactures, imports or places on the market less than 1,000 kg of plastic products or packaging per calendar year.
