Commercial Information Circular No. 296/2024

Brazil : Technical Requirements for Various Products

The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO) of Brazil approved / amended technical requirements of various products including:

1. electronic measurement systems or meters for electricity;
2. commercial meters for measuring; and
3. flow computers and volume converters.

2.For details of the Brazilian measures and the products involved, traders are advised to consult their importers in Brazil and/or refer to Appendices 1 to 3 below for the relevant Brazilian Directives (in Portuguese):
