Canada : Regulations Amending the Energy Efficiency Regulations for Ceiling Fan Light Kits

Natural Resources Canada published a notice in the Canada Gazette Part II of 10 April 2024 to amend the Energy Efficiency Regulations, 2016 (the Regulations) for ceiling fan light kits, which came into force on 27 March 2024.

2.To maintain harmonisation of regulatory requirements with the US Department of Energy, Natural Resources Canada has made changes to the Regulations concerning scope and definition, testing standards and reporting requirements for ceiling fan light kits. Ceiling fan light kit manufacturers and importers must comply with the requirements of the Regulations.
