Brazil : Scope Expansion of Anti-dumping Duty Order on Certain Automotive Safety Glass Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 200/2023 of 16 March 2023 regarding Brazil's renewal of an anti-dumping (AD) duty order on certain tempered and laminated automotive safety glass classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) codes 7007.11.00, 7007.19.00, 7007.21.00, 7007.29.00, 8708.22.00 and 8708.29.99 originating in the Mainland of China, the Brazilian Government issued Resolution No. 556/2024 to determine that certain worked glass classified under NCM code 7006.00.00 is circumventing the aforementioned AD duty order. Imports of subject products would be subject to an AD duty ranging from 115.7% to 145.0% for the same duration as the current AD measure. Please refer to the Appendix (pdf format) for the Brazilian Resolution (in Portuguese).

The Southern Common Market (Mercosur) includes Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. Membership of Venezuela has been temporarily suspended since 2 December 2016.
