Brazil : Removal of Duty-Free Treatment for Certain Products
The Brazilian Government has removed certain products from a list of capital goods, information technology (IT) and telecommunication (telecom) products that benefit from duty-free treatment under the Ex-Tarifario regime. A summary of the concerned products is set out as follows: -
- 615 capital goods classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) codes 8422.40.90, 8428.90.90, 8443.39.10, 8457.10.00, 8479.89.99, 8504.40.90, 8604.00.90, 9031.49.90 and 9031.80.99 and 144 IT and telecom products classified under NCM code 8541.43.00; and
- 660 capital goods classified under NCM codes 8413.70.90, 8414.80.19, 8419.81.90, 8419.89.99, 8422.30.29, 8424.89.90, 8428.39.90, 8428.90.90, 8431.31.10, 8431.43.90, 8438.10.00, 8438.50.00, 8441.10.90, 8443.39.10, 8457.10.00, 8458.11.99, 8477.10.11, 8477.20.10, 8477.80.90, 8479.82.10, 8479.90.90, 8480.71.00, 8483.40.10, 8504.40.40, 8504.40.90, 9018.19.80, 9018.19.90, 9018.50.90, 9027.10.00, 9027.50.90 and 9031.49.90 and 24 IT and telecom products classified under NCM codes 8471.50.40 and 8543.70.99.
