Commercial Information Circular No. 647/2022

Argentina : Setting Criterion Values for Lead-Acid Storage Batteries

The Argentine Government issued Resolution 5200/2022 to set the criterion values of the following products from various sources, including Hong Kong and the Mainland of China: -

  • US$4.30 to US$162.11 per unit for lead-acid storage batteries classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) codes 8507.10.10 and 8507.10.90.

2.Imports with a declared value lower than the criterion value require payment of a guarantee equivalent to the difference in duties to be paid on the declared value and that on the criterion value.

1 The Southern Common Market (Mercosur) includes Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. Membership of Venezuela has been temporarily suspended since 2 December 2016.
