Argentina : Amendments to Identification Requirements for Imported Electronic Products

The Argentine Government issued Resolution 5166/2022 to announce amendments to identification requirements for imported electronic products classified under the following Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) codes subject to certain specific exceptions: 8516.50.00, 8517.11.00, 8517.18.10, 8517.18.91, 8517.18.99, 8517.12.11, 8517.12.13, 8517.12.31, 8517.12.33, 8517.62.92, 8518.40.00, 8519.30.00, 8519.50.00, 8519.81.10, 8519.81.90, 8519.89.00, 8521.10.10, 8521.10.81, 8521.10.89, 8521.90.10, 8521.90.90, 8523.29.21, 8523.29.22, 8523.29.23, 8523.29.24, 8523.29.29, 8523.41.10, 8525.80.13, 8525.80.19, 8525.80.21, 8525.80.22, 8525.80.29, 8527.12.00, 8527.13.00, 8527.19.10, 8527.19.90, 8527.21.00, 8527.29.00, 8527.91.00, 8527.92.00, 8527.99.10, 8527.99.90, 8528.59.20, 8528.72.00 and 8528.73.00. The amendments provide that cell phones may be identified through their International Mobile Equipment Identify (IMEI) code or the tax stamp.
