Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 454/2022

Canada : Antidumping and Countervailing Actions against Certain Drill Pipe from the Mainland of China: Preliminary Injury Determination and Termination of Investigations

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 266/2022 of 29 March 2022 regarding the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)'s initiation of investigations into the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of certain drill pipe from the Mainland of China, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) announced on 24 May 2022 the preliminary determination of injury. The CITT determined that there was no reasonable indication that the dumping and subsidizing of the subject goods have caused injury or retardation or are threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry. The CITT has therefore terminated its preliminary injury inquiry. Following the CITT's decision, the CBSA terminated its dumping and subsidizing investigations of the subject goods on 25 May 2022.
