Argentina : Setting Criterion Values for Certain Imitation Jewellery and Games

The Argentine Government issued Resolutions 5149/2022 and 5150/2022 to set the criterion values of certain products from various sources, including Hong Kong and the Mainland of China: -

  1. US$4.40/kg for games or assortments of plastic toys containing modelling clay classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) code 9503.00.80;
  2. US$7.54/kg for imitation jewellery classified under NCM code 7117.19.00; and
  3. US$6.26/kg for imitation jewellery classified under NCM code 7117.90.00.

2.Imports with a declared value lower than the criterion value require payment of a guarantee equivalent to the difference in duties to be paid on the declared value and that on the criterion value.

1 The Southern Common Market (Mercosur) includes Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. Membership of Venezuela has been temporarily suspended since 2 December 2016.
