Commercial Information Circular No. 206/2022

Mexico : New Standards for Rear Fenders of Certain Motor Vehicles

The Mexican government has adopted new standards to establish dimensional and structural strength specifications for rear fenders of conventional bus-type transport vehicles, conventional minibuses and unit lorries with a gross vehicle weight greater than 4,536 kg, as well as trailers and semi-trailers with a gross vehicle weight greater than 4,536 kg but less than 14,000 kg. The new standards NOM-014-SCT-2-2021 will enter into force on 15 June 2022.
