Mexico : Modification of Import Ban on Electronic Cigarettes

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 678/2021 of 30 September 2021, the Mexican government has modified the import ban on electronic cigarettes by expanding the coverage of prohibited products.

DETAILS

2.The Mexican government banned the importation of electronic cigarettes as well as mixtures and solutions used with electronic cigarettes from 20 February 2020. Subsequently, the Mexican government modified the ban on 16 July 2021 and 22 October 2021 by amending the product coverage of relevant Mexican Harmonised Tariff Schedule codes.
