Commercial Information Circular No. 627/2021

Brazil : Termination of Anti-dumping Investigation against Hosiery and Socks Originating in Hong Kong

Pursuant to Commercial Information Circular No. 159/2021 of 17 March 2021 regarding the preliminary determination of anti-dumping (AD) investigation against hosiery and socks classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) codes 6115 and 6111 originating in, inter alia, Hong Kong, the Ministry of Economy of Brazil published Circular No. 54/2021 on 30 August 2021 announcing its termination of the subject AD investigation without imposing AD measures.

2.The Brazilian authority considers that the analysis was impaired due to a lack of accuracy in, and inadequacy of, the information provided by the relevant domestic industry. Hence, there is insufficient reliability to reach a final determination of damage to the domestic industry.
