Commercial Information Circular No. 603/2021
Argentina : Labelling Requirements For Textiles and Apparel
The Argentine Government published Resolution No. 549/2021 to announce the incorporation of revised labelling requirements for textiles and apparel in Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Resolution No. 62/18 into its domestic legal regime.
2.Importers of subject products will be required to comply with these requirements by 28 September 2021. Non-compliant textiles and apparel may not be definitively imported into Argentina unless the importer commits to correct the non-compliance and the Directorate of Technical Regulations issues an authorisation to adapt the label to domestic market requirements.

1 The Southern Common Market (Mercosur) includes Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. Membership of Venezuela has been temporarily suspended since 2 December 2016.
