Brazil : Renewal of An Anti-dumping Duty Order on Certain Disposable Syringes Originating in the Mainland of China

The Ministry of Economy of Brazil issued Resolution No. 216/2021 to announce its determination to renew the anti-dumping (AD) order on certain disposable plastic syringes for general use, with or without needles, with a capacity of 1ml, 3ml, 5ml, 10ml or 20ml, classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) codes 9018.31.11 and 9018.31.19 originating in the Mainland of China. Imports of subject merchandise would be subject to an AD duty of US$3.99 per kilogramme for a period of five years. However, the AD duty will be suspended through 20 June 2022 for public interest to facilitate the fight against COVID-19.
