Mexico : Updated Energy Efficiency Standard for LED Luminaires for Roads and Outdoor Public Areas

The Mexican government has updated the energy efficiency standard for light-emitting diode (LED) luminaires for the lighting of roads and outdoor public areas. The new standard NOM-031-ENER-2019 entered into force on 1 June 2021 and replaced NOM-031-ENER-2012.

DETAILS

2.The new standard amends the minimum luminous efficacy requirement for LED luminaires for the lighting of roads and outdoor public areas and sets out, among others, specifications, test methods, conformity assessment procedure and labelling requirements for the products concerned.
