US : Antidumping and Countervailing Actions against Certain Vertical Shaft Engines and Parts Thereof from the Mainland of China: Final Determinations
Further to Commercial Information Circulars No. 647/2020 of 21 August 2020 and 486/2020 of 24 June 2020 respectively regarding the preliminary determinations of antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations by the US Department of Commerce (DoC) against certain vertical shaft engines between 225cc and 999cc, and parts thereof from the Mainland of China, the DoC announced in the Federal Register (FR) notices of 11 January 2021 the final determinations that imports of the Chinese products were being, or were likely to be sold in the US at less than fair value; and that countervailable subsidies were being provided to producers and exporters of the products. The final estimated weighted-average dumping margins are found to be 177.65% - 468.33%, and the estimated subsidy rates are 17.75% - 19.29%. 2.DoC subsequently announced in the FR notices of 4 March 2021 the issue of AD and CVD orders. The final estimated weighted-average dumping margins are amended to 185.65% - 468.33%, and the final subsidy rates are amended to 18.96% - 20.38%.
