Commercial Information Circular No. 360/2021

US : Antidumping and Countervailing Actions against Walk-Behind Lawn Mowers from the Mainland of China: Final Determinations

Further to Commercial Information Circulars No. 944/2020 of 31 December 2020 and 795/2020 of 3 November 2020 respectively regarding the preliminary determinations of antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations by the US Department of Commerce (DoC) against certain walk-behind lawn mowers and parts thereof from the Mainland of China, the DoC announced in the Federal Register (FR) notices of 20 May 2021 the final determinations that imports of the Chinese products were being, or were likely to be sold in the US at less than fair value; and that countervailable subsidies were being provided to producers and exporters of the products. The final estimated weighted-average dumping margins are found to be 98.73% - 274.29%, and the estimated subsidy rates are 14.17% - 20.98%. 2.DoC subsequently announced in the FR notices of 13 July 2021 the issue of AD and CVD orders. The final estimated weighted-average dumping margins remain unchanged at 98.73% - 274.29% while the final subsidy rates are amended to 13.67% - 20.98%.
