Commercial Information Circular No. 352/2021

Brazil : Conformity Assessments and Technical Requirements for Various Products

The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO) of Brazil approved conformity assessments and/or technical requirements of various products. A summary of the products is set out as follows:

  1. Textiles and Apparel

    INMETRO has approved a consolidated technical regulation incorporating the MERCOSUR labelling requirements for textile and apparel products.
  2. Jewellery

    INMETRO has approved consolidated technical requirements for jewellery and imitation jewellery.
  3. Clothes Dryers

    INMETRO has approved consolidated technical and conformity assessment requirements for clothes dryers.
  4. Certain Densimeters

    INMETRO has approved consolidated metrological technical requirements for certain densimeters.
  5. On-line Gas Chromatographs

    INMETRO has approved consolidated metrological technical requirements for on-line gas chromatographs.
