US : Section 232 National Security Investigation into Mobile Cranes - Termination of Investigation
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 420/2020 of 25 May 2020, the US Department of Commerce (DoC) issued a Federal Register (FR) notice on 18 December 2020 to announce that it terminated the Section 232 national security investigation into imports of mobile cranes on 23 November 2020.
DETAILS
2.On 19 May 2020, the US DoC initiated an investigation under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, as amended, to determine the effect on the national security from imports of mobile cranes. Subsequently, the US DoC issued a FR notice on 26 May 2020 to invite comments pertinent to the investigation.
3.On 18 December 2020, the US DoC issued a FR notice to announce that it terminated the Section 232 national security investigation into imports of mobile cranes on 23 November 2020.
