Commercial Information Circular No. 88/2020

US : Antidumping Action against Difluoromethane (R–32) from the Mainland of China: Institution of Investigation and Scheduling of Preliminary Phase Investigation

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 29 January 2020 the institution of investigation and commencement of preliminary phase antidumping duty investigation pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 to determine whether there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the US is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the US is materially retarded, by reason of imports of Difluoromethane (R–32) from the Mainland of China that are alleged to be sold in the US at less than fair value.  A copy of the FR notice is available at: https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2020-01-29/pdf/2020-01514.pdf.
 
2.        Interested parties wishing to participate in the investigation should file an entry of appearance with ITC not later than seven days after publication of the FR notice. Written submissions should reach ITC on or before 19 February 2020.  Besides, ITC has scheduled a conference in connection with the investigation on 13 February 2020 in which parties wishing to participate should contact ITC not later than 11 February 2020 to arrange for their appearance.
