Dear Sirs,
Commercial Information Circular No. 822/2020
US : Antidumping Action against Glass Containers from the Mainland of China: Negative Injury Determination and Termination of Investigation
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 5 November 2020 its negative injury determination in the antidumping duty investigation against glass containers from the Mainland of China. A copy of the FR notice is available at: https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2020-11-05/pdf/2020-24594.pdf.
DETAILS
2.The US Department of Commerce (DoC) initiated on 21 October 2019 an antidumping duty investigation to determine whether imports of glass containers from the Mainland of China were being, or were likely to be, sold in the US at less than fair value. Subsequently, the DoC made its preliminary and final affirmative determinations of sales at less than fair value. Please refer to Commercial Information Circular Nos. 759/2019, 379/2020 and 708/2020 dated 21 October 2019, 5 May 2020 and 21 September 2020 respectively for details.
3.The ITC announced on 5 November 2020 its finding that an industry in the US was not materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of glass containers from the Mainland of China that had been found by the DoC to be sold in the US at less than fair value. As a result of ITC's negative injury determination, the investigation has been terminated and no antidumping duty order will be issued.
