Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 389/2020

Brazil : Expiration of Anti-dumping Duty Order on Certain Pre-sensitized Offset Aluminium Printing Plates Originating in Hong Kong

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 201/2015 of 17 March 2015 regarding the final determination of the anti-dumping (AD) investigation against certain pre-sensitized offset aluminium printing plates, the Ministry of Economy of Brazil issued Circular No. 13/2020 announcing expiration of the AD duty order on aluminum printing plates classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur 1) Common Classification (NCM) codes 3701.30.21 and 3701.30.31 originating in Hong Kong.

DETAILS

2.The Brazilian authority announced its final determination of the AD investigation on aluminium printing plates originating in Hong Kong and other economies in 2015. As a result, a definitive AD duty of US$5.86 per kg of the subject products of Hong Kong was imposed for five years with effect from 5 March 2015. The AD duty order on Hong Kong expired on 5 March 2020 after the Brazilian authority decided not to launch a sunset review of the AD order as no evidence of a resumption of injurious dumping was found.
