Mexico : New Mandatory Standards for Mobile Terminal Equipment
The Mexican government has adopted new mandatory standards for mobile terminal equipment that operates in the 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 850 MHz, 1,900 MHz, 1,700 MHz/2,100 MHz and/or 2,500 MHz bandwidths and can use the radio spectrum or can be connected to telecommunications networks. The new standards as set out in NOM-221/2-SCFI-2018 entered into force on 10 February 2020.
2.The new standards require that the subject equipment must comply with the provisions of Technical Disposition IFT-011-2017 - Part 2 and undergo appropriate testing to ensure compliance with the standards.
