Mexico : Updated Mandatory Standards for Certain Electronic Products for Household Use

The Mexican government has updated mandatory standards for certain electronic products for household use. The updated mandatory standards as set out in NOM-001-SCFI-2018 will enter into force on 14 May 2020.

DETAILS

2.The updated mandatory standards set out definitions, general test conditions, specific requirements and conformity assessment procedures as well as safety requirements applicable to certain electronic products and will replace NOM-001-SCFI-1993. The updated standards apply to a range of electronic products such as television screens, video projectors, remote controls, electronic musical instruments and electronic toys.
