Commercial Information Circular No. 831/2019

Canada : Antidumping and Countervailing Actions against Certain Carbon Steel Fasteners from the Mainland of China: Conclusion of Re-investigation

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 260/2019 of 4 April 2019 regarding initiation of a re-investigation against certain carbon steel fasteners originating in or exported from, inter alia, the Mainland of China, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) concluded on 14 November 2019 the re-investigation updating the normal values, export prices and the amounts of subsidy of the subject goods. The concerned goods are usually classified under the Harmonized System classification numbers 7318.11.00.00, 7318.12.00.00, 7318.14.00.00, 7318.15.00.10, 7318.15.00.42, 7318.15.00.45 and 7318.15.00.49.

2.Pursuant to the re-investigation results, the CBSA imposes an anti-dumping duty of 170% and a countervailing duty of RMB 1.25 per kilogram on imports of the subject goods originating in / exported from the Mainland of China effective on 14 November 2019.  CBSA's notice is available for reference at: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi/ri-re/fas2019/fas2019-nc-eng.html.
