Commercial Information Circular No. 722/2019

Argentina : Postponement of Certain Requirements for Sworn Declaration for Product Composition of Textiles, Apparel and Footwear Products

Currently, producers and importers of textiles and apparel in Argentina must provide a declaration with the fibre composition of their products, while footwear producers and importers must provide a declaration with the constituent materials. The Sworn Declaration for Product Composition ("DeclaraciĆ³n Jurada de ComposiciĆ³n de Productos" in Spanish) (DJCP) is generated through the Integrated Foreign Trade System ("Sistema Integrado de Comercio" in Spanish) (SISCO) with a validity of 180 days.

2.Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 153/2017 of 21 February 2017, the Argentine government issued Resolution No. 244/2019 announcing the postponement of the following requirements to 1 January 2020 : (i) provide the product identification code in the sales document together with a description of the product; and (ii) attach to the sales document a digital or paper copy of the DJCP accepted by the relevant authorities, which must remain in the possession of the buyer of the goods to be shown whenever required.
