Brazil : Lowers Duties on Additional Products
The Brazilian government has announced the addition of 315 items to a list of foreign capital goods and information technology (IT) and telecommunications (telecom) goods that benefit from duty-free treatment under the Ex-Tariff regime. Of the 315 items, 285 items are capital goods and the remaining 30 are IT and telecom goods. Apart from a few exceptions, capital goods classified under Harmonized System (HS) Chapters 82, 84, 85, 86, 87, 90 and 94 will benefit from duty-free treatment through 31 December 2020. The IT and telecom goods which are classified under HS Chapters 84, 85 and 90 will also benefit from the same arrangement.
2.Separately, the Brazilian government has revised the tariff-rate quota for the following imports :
