US : Advance Electronic Data Required for All Postal Shipments
The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published a notice on 31 December 2018 to announce that beginning 1 January 2019, advance electronic data (AED) is required for all postal shipments into the US originating from the Mainland of China, Hong Kong and Macao. Foreign postal operators that ship goods destined for the US that originate in the Mainland of China are also covered by this requirement. The US CBP requires carriers to confirm 100% of the containers with postal shipments contain AED before loading them onto their conveyance.
