Commercial Information Circular No. 160/2019

Chile : Certificate Requirements for Certain Electrical Products

The Chilean government issued Exempt Resolutions No. 39/2018 and 40/2018 requiring that certain electrical products including the automatic switches for household use, cold and hot water dispensers, certain high-pressure cleaners and portable air coolers to obtain a certificate of approval from a certification body authorized by the Chilean Electricity and Fuels Superintendence before going commercialised in the country.
