Commercial Information Circular No. 99/2018

Peru : Renewal of Anti-dumping Duty Orders on Footwear Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 460/2016 of 30 May 2016 regarding the renewal of anti-dumping (AD) duty order on certain sandals, slippers, flip flops and similar types of footwear, the Peruvian government issued Resolution No. 209/2017 announcing its determination to renew the AD order on footwear with uppers made by rubber, plastic or natural leather, classified under Peruvian Harmonised Tariff Schedule (HTSPE) codes 6402.19.0000, 6402.20.0000, 6402.91.0000, 6402.99.9000, 6403.91.9000, 6403.99.9000 and 6405.10.0000 originating in the Mainland of China.  Imports of subject merchandise are subject to an additional five years of AD duty, while imports of sandals and flip flops are excluded from the AD duty measure.  AD measures imposed on imports of Chinese merchandise with upppers made by materials other than rubber, plastic or natural leather (except textile materials) have also been rescinded.
