Commercial Information Circular No. 863/2018

Argentina : Labelling Requirements for Footwear

The Argentine government issued Resolution No. 465/2018 to set out the new labelling requirements for footwear. Relevant requirements will enter into effect from 6 February 2019.

2.For all footwear commercialised in Argentina, the label must contain the name and tax identification code of the manufacturer and/ or importer, the brand and model or article, the country of origin, materials used in the manufacturing of upper, lining and sole, and the size. Although other languages may also be used, the aforementioned information must be presented in Spanish, legible characters of not less than one millimeter in height, and included in at least one unit of the pair; while the size of the footwear must be indicated on both units.
