US : Countervailing Action against Glycine from the Mainland of China: Institution of Investigation and Scheduling of Preliminary Phase Investigation
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 3 April 2018 the institution of investigation and commencement of preliminary phase countervailing duty investigation pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 to determine whether there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the US is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the US is materially retarded, by reason of imports of glycine from, among others, the Mainland of China, that are alleged to be subsidised by the Government of the People's Republic of China. 2.Interested parties wishing to participate in the investigations should file an entry of appearance with ITC not later than seven days after publication of the FR notice. Written submissions should reach ITC on or before 23 April 2018. Besides, ITC has scheduled a conference in connection with the investigations on 18 April 2018 in which parties wishing to participate should contact ITC not later than 16 April 2018 to arrange for their appearance.
