Commercial Information Circular No. 1083/2018
US : Antidumping Action against Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Resin from the Mainland of China: Negative Injury Determination and Termination of Investigation
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 4 December 2018 its negative injury determination in the antidumping duty investigation against polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin from the Mainland of China. A copy of the FR notice is available at: https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2018-12-04/pdf/2018-26324.pdf.
2.The US Department of Commerce (DoC) initiated on 26 October 2017 an antidumping investigation to determine whether imports of PTFE resin from the Mainland of China were being, or were likely to be, sold in the US at less than fair value. Subsequently, the DoC made its preliminary and final affirmative determinations of sales at less than fair value. Please refer to Commercial Information Circular Nos. 927/2017 and 442/2018 dated 27 October 2017 and 8 May 2018 respectively for details.
3.The ITC announced on 4 December 2018 its finding that an industry in the US was not materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of PTFE resin from the Mainland of China that had been found by the DoC to be sold in the US at less than fair value. As a result of ITC's negative injury determination, this investigation has been terminated and no antidumping duty order will be issued.
