US : Energy Conservation Standards for Walk-In Cooler and Freezer Refrigeration Systems

The US Department of Energy (DOE) promulgated in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 10 July 2017 the final rule on energy conservation standards for walk-in cooler and freezer refrigeration systems. The effective date of the final rule is 8 September 2017, and compliance date with the standards is 10 July 2020.

2.The DOE establishes energy conservation standards for various consumer products and certain commercial and industrial equipment, including walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers. This final rule details a series of energy conservation standards pertaining to certain refrigeration systems used in this equipment.
