Commercial Information Circular No. 525/2017

Canada : Guidelines on Importations of Food, Plants, Animals and Related Products

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued a memorandum on 21 June 2017 to update the guidelines that apply to commercial and non-commercial importations of food, plants, animals and related products as regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The products include animal feed; animal and plant pathogens; fertilizers; fish, seafood and fish products; fresh fruits and vegetables; grains, seeds, and nuts; live animals; pet food and treats; plants and plant products; processed fruits and vegetables, and maple products; products and by-products of animal origin; roots, bulbs and tubers; soil and related matter; wood and wood products, etc. A copy of the memorandum is available at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/dm-md/d19/d19-1-1-eng.html.
