Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 301/2017

Canada : Antidumping and Countervailing Actions against Certain Fabricated Industrial Steel Components from the Mainland of China: Final Determinations

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 91/2017 dated 27 January 2017 regarding the Canadian authorities' preliminary determination of anti-dumping (AD) investigation against certain fabricated industrial steel components, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced on 25 April 2017 its final determinations of dumping and subsidizing in respect of the subject goods originating in or exported from the Mainland of China. The weighted-average dumping margins were found to be 32.9% - 45.8%, whereas the amount of subsidy per metric tonne is RMB 151.70 – 11,656.06. Provisional duties will continue to apply until the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) announces its final determination on injury to the domestic industry by 25 May 2017. Where the CITT determines an injury, the CBSA will impose a final AD duty on imports of the subject goods for the next five years. In the case of no injury found, all the proceedings will be terminated and the provisional duties will be returned.

2.CBSA's announcement of the final determination on dumping is available at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi/i-e/fisc2016/fisc2016-nf-eng.html.
